I'd like to explain why I think it could be helpful to join the Highlander928 Discord server. Here's the background:
Ever since I began hosting TikTok Live sessions to talk about CVs, LinkedIn and careers topics, a small, focused community has grown around them. This really adds a tremendously powerful dynamic to the Live events on TikTok - you're not just hearing from me. Now, in almost every Live, you're getting the combined wisdom of dozens of regulars.
This is enormously helpful for me because invariably one of the regulars has already offered a compelling insight to questions posed by participants during the Live before I even get to them.
Rox, to pick one example, is a hiring manager in her own right and regularly gives advice and perspective during the TikTok Lives (as well as helping keep things moving as chief moderator). Another example is Elliot, who has been joining us regularly to offer his viewpoints as a Talent Acquisition Manager for a major UK brand. Those are just two examples of a growing community of individuals keen to offer help to anyone looking to develop their career.
But... and here's the key issue: When I switch off the TikTok Live, it all stops.
That's where Discord comes in. We're keeping the community going there!
