CV / LinkedIn Submissions When you submit a CV or LinkedIn profile for review during a TikTok Live session, we receive the document or link you provide. You are required to remove personally identifying information (such as your phone number, home address, and date of birth) before submitting. If any personal details are accidentally included, we make every effort not to display them during the live stream.

Essential Cookies We use only essential cookies required to keep your account session working. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics.

How We Use Your Information

  • Account information is used to manage your account, let you log in, and send you updates when we post new content. You can switch off these updates at any time from your account settings.
  • CV submissions are used solely for the purpose of the TikTok Live review session. They are not shared with third parties, not used for marketing, and not stored long-term.

CV Deletion

We delete all submitted CVs - including any associated metadata - after each TikTok Live session. We do not keep copies.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Opt out of update emails at any time
  • Withdraw consent for any processing based on your consent

These terms govern your use of the Highlander928 website at www.highlander928.com and participation in our TikTok Live CV review sessions. By using our site or submitting a CV/LinkedIn profile URL for review, you agree to these terms.

Your Account

To submit a CV or LinkedIn Profile URL for review, you must register an account. We implemented this feature to ensure that the order of reviews was fair for everyone. We also deliberately introduced this requirement to add a bit of friction to avoid people emailing nonsense during TikTok Lives.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. One account per person - accounts exist primarily to help us manage submissions and reduce spam.

By registering, you agree to receive occasional updates when we post new content. You can turn these off at any time from your account settings.

CV & LinkedIn Review Submissions

When you submit a CV or LinkedIn profile for live review, you agree to the following:

  • Remove personal details first. You must strip out personally identifying information - including phone numbers, home addresses, dates of birth, and photographs - before submitting. This is for your own privacy.
  • Live broadcast. We will make every effort to review your CV / LinkedIn profile during a TikTok Live stream, meaning it will be visible to viewers. This is why removing personal details is essential.
  • Best efforts. If you accidentally leave personal details in your submission, we will make every reasonable effort not to show them on stream (for example, by scrolling down past contact information before showing the CV on screen). However, we cannot guarantee that nothing will be visible, and you submit at your own risk.
  • Deletion. All submitted CVs and their associated metadata are deleted after each TikTok Live session. We do not keep copies.

What We Offer

Our CV and LinkedIn Profile reviews are informal, provided for general guidance, and shared live for entertainment and educational purposes. They do not constitute professional career advice, recruitment services, or any guarantee of employment outcomes. Use any feedback at your own discretion.

Acceptable Use

When using our site, you agree not to:

  • Submit CVs containing someone else's personal information without their consent
  • Use automated tools or bots to register accounts or submit content
  • Attempt to disrupt the site or its services
  • Use our service for anything unlawful

We reserve the right to remove accounts or refuse submissions that breach these terms.

Intellectual Property

The content on our website - including text, graphics, and branding - belongs to Highlander928. Your CV remains yours; by submitting it, you grant us a temporary, limited licence to display it during the live review session and nothing more.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Highlander928 is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, participation in live sessions, or reliance on any feedback given during a review. This includes (but is not limited to) any personal information you accidentally leave in a submitted CV.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
